Refining search

In the title window for the new search there is a special feature for refining the search.

On the left beside the titles found, various categories are displayed that you can use to restrict the number of hits. The number of titles in each category is displayed in brackets.

New possibility to limit the search results in the KNV-Search by new arrivals and publication year
The refinement Newness offers the possibility to find a newly arrived article within a certain timeframe.

  • Open the individual categories by clicking the plus sign at the start of the category. 
  • Click the required category.
    Only the titles that correspond to the category are displayed.

E. g. New arrival offers the possibility to find a newly arrived article within a certain timeframe.

  • Click Newness.
    Immediately you will see your hits divided into sub-categories.
  • Select the required sub-category.
    The title window now contains only the related articles.

You can further restrict your results in this way.

You will then see the selected categories with sub-categories selected in Refine search.

You can remove a restriction using the blue X on the right in the sub-category.
